The Importance of Hydroponic in Our School
Hydroponics is a technique of cultivating plants by plants by using water and not using soil as a planting medium. In this era, planting with hydroponic system is an alternative choice to produce plants with a narrow area. But, is it important that our school do hydroponics?
Nevertheless, there is an argument about hydroponics in SMAN 1 Tambakboyo.
People who have a pro argument claim that hydroponics in our scho is very important because it can cool the air around. This is clear, because hydroponic plants do not contain chemical elements in fertilization. Besides that, hydroponics can minimize air pollution. We need to know that the environment around us is located right on the edge of the highway. Automatic, air pollution can affect our health. One way to prevent it is by planting hydroponic plants.
On the other hand, there are also those who argue that hydroponics is not important in our school. Because, SMAN 1 Tambakboyo is 'A Desert School' and is located only 1 KM from the beach. So, it's useless to apply hydroponics in our school. Furthermore, hydroponic plants are a type of plant that usually grows in the tropics, while SMAN 1 Tambakboyo is hot. So, it's not suitable for developing hydroponics. Other than that, doing hydroponics at our school will only spend a lot of money. Why is that? Because, tbe costs needed to by vegetable uquipment and seeds are not cheap. So, the possibility of growing and developing is very small.
In all, our scho does nor need to do hydroponics because there is not benefit. We should plant plants that are suitable in our school conditions.
